B1 LCM – Linux Client Management

With B1 Linux Client Management towards a centrally managed infrastructure – whether servers or clients, physical or virtual.
B1 Systems GmbH uses Foreman and Salt to implement standardized, centralized installation & management of Linux desktop clients and servers in demanding customer environments.

While the system manager and configuration management are built entirely from open-source components, seamless integration with commercial services such as Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, and other Microsoft services, Citrix, or HashiCorp Vault is possible without issue.

Providing a unified Linux client allows users to focus on their work and perform it as efficiently as possible. B1 Linux Client Management is scalable for large numbers of systems and can be hosted on a wide variety of infrastructures – whether on-premise, private, hybrid, or public cloud. External hosting by B1 Systems is also available.

By consistently using centralized configuration management, the implementation of DevOps & GitOps methodologies is supported. With integrated staging, B1 Linux Client Management enables comprehensive testing of all changes in a test environment, allowing potential issues to be identified early on.

Compliance requirements and security policies – such as disk encryption and the automatic deployment of VPNs, for example on mobile devices – can also be easily implemented with LCM. The use of authentication services with centralized user, group, and permissions management is likewise a core part of the solution.

Centralized patch management with mirrored software repositories ensures that all managed systems remain up to date and tested. Automatic CVE analysis highlights potential security issues within the managed systems.
